About This Coffee

THE PROCESS
Ripe cherries are dried on cemented patios and finished in mechanical driers. The full process takes 15 days.
THE REGION
Coffee production in Araponga started relatively late in the 1970s but gained in popularity from
around 2000 due to its high quality. Today, Araponga has become known as a specialty coffee
region, where coffee production is the main and most important source of income. 23 of the
100 best coffees of the state of Minas Gerais in 2018 belonged to Araponga, meaning it has a
disproportionately high propensity for a top quality cup.
